THE RIVERBEND LODGE
OUTSIDE above and inside upper right...
with Peg, our great Travel coordinator, Jenelle and classmate, Sharon of 1959....but we are proud of our class.... and will be having our 50th next year.
I am new, though I have posted several times. Not sure what I am doing wrong...but trying again.
Sending you a pic of this past weekend where my dear friend, Charlotte and I traveled. Not feeling too well from several days of chemo, Charlotte opted to drive to a little rural Lodge south of Little Rock where we met other friends and travelers from our trip to Greece and Turkey this past Sept/Oct. 08.
This was a reconnection of most of the travelers who journied and a chance to reminiese and share our pics from our trip. Below is a photo of the Lodge we were invited to and the owners, Mark and Carol were part of our entourage. Wonderful hosts, great fun people to be with and certainly great place to host a large group. Very rustic, homey and a big fireplace to boot! Great party, food and fellowship and a wonderful setting next to the Ouachita River. We shared our pictures of our trip, and even viewed a CD that another traveler,Gail from Nova Scotia had sent us--part video and part pics. wonderful treasured memories.
Photos laying out on the pool table for all to observe and reminiese.
have a great Thursday and weekend.

Annie's Simple Thoughts On Life

Annie's Simple Thoughts On Life Thursday, November 20, 2008 It is a beautiful day outside in looks, but cold. Rustic leaves flying everywhere. A week after my LAST chemo treatment (oh, let it be, God!!) and I am still not up to par. Lots of things to do, but they will have to wait. Please pray for my friend, Heather who is finishing her 23rd round of radiation and daily chemo for what has advanced to her her brain. In 2007, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer but a miraculous thing happened along the way. In her 30's, Heather fought and won the battle having been diagnosed cancer free in Feb. 2008. Now in June, it has returned to another area of her body. She is a fighter...and I know she will fight this too. A wonderful Thursday to all where ever you are. I am so new to the blog world and forgive me if I seem that away....confused....I want to enclose a picture taken at a week end party for the folks in my group that went to Greece and Turkey recently. It was time to share those pictures and we drove to a little rural area an hours' drive from Little Rock, to an old Lodge owned by my frieds, Mark and Carol and we shared our pictures of the wonderful trip abroad. more pics later from Greece. (Just got to get the hand of things on this blog world. I have been viewing Picket's Fence, Sweet Nothings, Blag, blag, blag and many others who have so much talent in this endeavor.. Bear with me, folks. Tootles,
